Riverina Melanoma Multidisciplinary Team

  • Services

    A multidisciplinary team of specialists, nurses and allied health professionals providing specialist care in the treatment of melanoma cancer. This team has regular multidisciplinary care team meetings where specialists can present patient cases for multidisciplinary discussion of all available treatment options.

    The multidisciplinary team meeting is run out of the Riverina Cancer Care Centre with both public and private patients discussed. The surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists consult and treat both public and private patients, thus refer all of these patients for discussion at the melanoma multidisciplinary team meetings.

    Access to services such as physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy and speech pathology can be facilitated by the local oncology unit and/or the cancer care coordinator or oncology social worker contact: Wagga Community Health Centre, Ph: (02) 6938 6411, Fax: (02) 6938 6410.
